The Fab Lab Chch was established in 2014 providing a prototyping sandbox to learn the skills needed for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Fab Lab Chch was one of over 1500 Fab Labs around the world. Fab Labs began as an outreach project from MIT's Center for Bits and Atoms (CBA), and developed into a collaborative and global network. Fab Lab Chch is specifically part of the Fab Antipodes group.
Our Approach
1. Participation
Fab Lab Chch participates in a local knowledge sharing community by collaborating with others in workshops and projects.
2. Accessibility
We believe in democratising the access to the tools for personal expression and invention, currently we are open to the public for service every Friday.
3. Openness
Openness to new ideas and experimentation is essential as this is how growth and learning develops.
